The vibrant colorful stripes of the AMEs are made using pineapple fiber, a material made reusing the waste from the pineapple cultivation that otherwise would have been thrown away.
We recycle two plastic bottles per pair, as the insole of the AMEs is made with recycled PET, helping fight the plastic pollution that goes rampant in our oceans.
We don’t harm defenseless animals nor contribute to the environmental damage of factory farming. To make the outsole of the AMEs, we use Onmicro, an eco-friendly vegan alternative to leather certified with the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 class I certificate.
The AMEs are fully made in Spain, under strict EU standards and fair labor conditions. Furthermore, our facility has its own waste recycle chain, which severely cuts down the residues generated by the production process.
We donate at least 1% of every sale to NGOs focused on the well-being of the environment, as members of the 1% For The Planet Foundation, created by Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia.
We fight deforestation by planting 5 trees per pair, so we can keep all breathing clean oxygen, and actively combat climate change.
